Chunky/big necklaces this summer

I can't believe how big some of the trendy necklaces are. I really don't like them. The trend is to wear no other acessories by a chucky, long and big necklace with a simple top. I hate this! Am I the only one out there?

Some are a bit loud but I have seen celbrities wearing these and they look great. I guess it really depends on the clothing, your body frame, hair, etc.

I think if the look is done right, it looks okay, but I prefer more understated jewelry or accessories myself. Celebrities might be able to get away with long necklaces and big earrings but the average woman looks silly with it.

It's about getting the right clothes with the right accessories. But I'm not too keen on the chunky necklace look myself either.

I think the whole big chunky necklace is out for 2009. I have been seeing store trends go towards more dainty looking stuff.

I have seen a trend towards longer necklaces rather then the choke types.

Big, bold and chunky necklaces will again be "big" in the spring of 2010.
